And the Journey Continues.........

So I got a nice surprise this morning. I was beginning to wake-up when my phone started to ring and it was a Waco number. I answered the phone and to my surprise it was someone contacting me about a job I applied to YESTERDAY!!! Thank you to everyone that has been praying for me about getting a job because it is at least getting me one step closer to getting one. I am now filling out a personal history profile for this job and dang is it extensive!!!! I will be sure to let you all know if I get called for an interview and what all happens. Again thank you so much for all of the prayers.

Check out my signature

Hey Guys!!!! I am testing out my new signature I just created for my blog!!! Trying to make this thing awesome and beautiful for all of my lovies who read my posts! Here is the link to the blog that helped me figure out how to do this. I want an awesome signature like Kara's. They have lots of different fonts and a whole bunch of other stuff to make your signature personal. Let me know what you think.

Love,

I Hate Rejection

In my prior post "On a Pontoon" I said that I had an interview that day and was supposed to find out on Monday whether or not I got the job. I felt like the interview went awesome and very well. I called on Monday because I had not heard anything yet and they said I would be contacted in 24 hours by the selection team. Well today I am still sitting here and not hearing anything so I decided to email the HR person at the company. Not too long after I sent the email I got the generic email back that they have decided to go with other candidates. I know it is kind of silly, but I was almost in tears because I just felt like this was going to be my lucky chance. I just do not understand how I am supposed to get experience to be able to get a job, but I cannot get a job to get experience in the first place. Ok I am done ranting for now. Please put me in your prayers that I am able to find a job hopefully before the summer is over.

First Round of Wedding Shopping

About a week ago Gary's mom (Dinker) and went to Waco. I was not really looking to buy anything just mainly looking. Well that did not last for long. We went to Hobby Lobby and we always enjoying looking at the clearance isle because you never know what you are going to find there! I have been thinking and thinking what am I going to do for my center pieces not only for the main table, but for the guests table as well. I have found some pictures on Pinterest of some things I would really like to do, but I do not want it to break the bank.

While on the clearance isle I found some awesome candle holders similar to these. I was thinking they were going to be $15.00 or more even though they were on the clearance isle, but guess what? They were at the most $8.00!!!!

The tall pink ones were previously $40 each and I got them for $8.00 each. The red ones were previously $28 each and I got them for $5.60 each and finally the black ones were previously $16.00 each and I got them for $3.40. I saved $134!!!!!! If I can continue to find these guys at good prices they will definitely be all over the place. These will all be getting a color change and possibly glittered. I am thinking about clustering them or spreading them across the table. We will just have to wait and see!!! I will be sure to post when I give these guys a face-lift!!!!

Also on this shopping trip I found some letters as well on the clearance isle. I am wanting to have the letter G everywhere as decoration so this to me was an awesome find because I am starting to collect G's of all different sizes and fonts.
These were all previously $10.00 each and I got them for $2.00 each. I also got a K because I have not decided what I am going to hang off the back of mine and Gary's chairs at the wedding. I am either going to do Mr. & Mrs. or G & K plus these guys were cheap!!! They are definitely going to get a make-over, but I am not sure what I am going to do to them yet, but I will do a post for that for sure.

I also got one other item at Hobby Lobby. Like I said before I am collecting all different sizes of G's so I found another G that I just had to have.

This guy was previously $20.00 and he was 50% off so I got him for $10.00 and he fits into my color scheme so he needs no face-lift.

We also went to Kirklands and if I haven't said before this is an awesome time of year to find wedding items I guess since it is wedding season. The first thing that I found there is probably something that I could have made myself, but I loved it so much that I just had to have it plus it gave me the inspiration for the header of this blog.
It was only $12.99 and I'm thinking I might add a little something to it, but again not sure yet. The next thing I found is the beginning of my collection of frames for the entrance area.

I got this guy for $10.00 and he was previously $15.99. That's only a $5.00 difference, but it was so cute I couldn't pass it up. One of the last things I purchased was something that I found on the clearance rack. It was something that was on one of the front shelves as a new item so I was wondering what it was doing back there. I quickly found out that it was broken, but not badly and it was marked down for $5.00. I believe almost anything can be fixed so I was like heck ya I can spend $5.00 on you.
Can't even tell its broken right?? It's only one of the small clasps that help keep the two pieces together definitely an easy fix.

The last thing I got from this shopping trip was an idea of something to make.
We thought this was so cute and would be awesome to have on the snack table, but I thought I could put it on something a little bigger and this guy wasn't on sale.

Make sure to look back and see when I post all of these D.I.Y's I plan on doing. I'm going to try and do everything step by step in case one day someone else wants to make these.

On A Pontoon

This past Saturday I had my first job interview since my search started in April. It was with Extraco Banks in Waco as a relationship banker, that is their teller there. I know I am probably over qualified for this job, but I just need a job!!! The interview went very well and I should be getting a call today to have another interview or find out if I got the job, fingers crossed.

After the interview my fiancé and I had been invited to go to the lake with one of his co-worker and some of his family. I was really excited about this since it has been so hot out and it would be nice to go and relax after being stressed from the interview. The lake was very windy and on our way to our first spot to get in the water I got very wet from the waves, felt like I was on a water ride. I made sure to put on sunscreen because I a white as a ghost. If you have this same issue you should try out the Neutrogena Beach Defense, It comes in a yellow bottle and in lotion or spray. I only applied it once and had no sunburn the next day which is an accomplishment to me. The water was awesome. There both cold and warm spots which kept it at a really good temperature. Here is a picture of us enjoying the water and a nice beverage.
The wind was so strong that we kept thinking the boat was not anchored well because we kept getting so far from it, but no the wind was so strong we kept blowing away!!!! After relaxing for a while we decided to go check out another spot closer to the shore. The water was much colder here which was weird to me and I could not stand it. I also did not like touching the bottom of the lake much so I decided chill on the boat and play bartender for a little while and the others stayed and enjoyed the water.
The sun was on the way down and there was a glare, but a shadow pic is ok. We went to the Slippery Minnow that evening to grab a bite to eat and listen to a band called Rewind. I ordered an awesome philly cheesesteak sandwich and Gary got a buffalo chicken sandwich. The band played 70s and 80s songs. If you have ever seen the band La Freak they were similar to them, but La Freak is much better looking.
We had a really awesome time being on the boat and hanging out listening the to the band. This was the night where the super moon was going to be out and it was very bright going back across the lake to go home.

I really enjoyed this past weekend and look forward to many more adventures to come with my new life and on the journey to becoming Mrs. Greener.

Hello Everyone!!!

This is my first blog ever and I am so very excited to get started and document my journey to becoming Mrs. Greener. I will be posting many different things on here, but most of it will have to do with my exciting wedding planning!!!!

I know that everything I post on here is free range and can be taken a used wherever, but I do ask anyone I know personally and is possibly getting married around the same time as me to not copy anything I am doing. I do not mind if you take my ideas and make them your own, but please do not completely copy. This might seem silly to put, but I just felt like it is something I need to get off my chest.

On a lighter note if you have any ideas yourself that you would like to share with me feel free. Like if you have an easier way to do something I am doing or if you know where I can find something please let me know!!!
